Take it away continues to be good for business
While it may have been an incredibly disruptive year for retailers across the UK, 87% of our Take it away music retailers experienced incremental sales by using the interest-free finance scheme. Take it away gives music retailers the ability to reach a wider customer base than they may otherwise achieve. The programme helps to break down perceived barriers around cost and can help give customers the confidence to walk through the door into a store.
We have picked out some of the highlights about Take it away’s success in 2020-21 – our most recent full financial year. You can download the full document for more details and find out more about our other programmes.
Helping customers spread the cost of music making
Over the years we have consistently had feedback that Take it away loans have enabled customers to access instruments that they could not otherwise afford. By spreading the cost, they have been able to increase their budget and choose a better quality instrument. A better quality instrument has helped them progress more quickly in their playing.
“During these difficult times the ability to finance a musical instrument [has given] my children the opportunity to learn to play the piano during lockdown.”
