About Tom
Tom is one of the most accomplished lap slide guitarists you are ever likely to see perform. He has a permanent spinal injury, caused by a road accident in 1974 when he was 17, but this didn’t stop him pursuing a successful career in music. Through designing and adapting equipment and years of persistence and hard work, Tom has developed his own truly unique way of approaching and playing his instrument, enabling his music to be heard and accessible to all.
As well as Ronnie Scott’s, Tom will be performing at 12 of UK’s 12 spinal injury centres in 2019 – London, Aylesbury, Salisbury, Cardiff, Oswestry, Southport, Sheffield, Wakefield, Middlesbrough, Glasgow, Dublin and Belfast.
