• Free tickets to the Great Orchestra Experiment

As part of Learn to Play Day, Take it away has teamed up with Nottingham Music Hub and our music shops in Nottingham to give you an exclusive preview of the Great Orchestra Experiment event.
For the first time ever, we’re giving you the chance to attend the rehearsal on Tuesday 26 March!

Even though the main event on 27 March is sold out, by attending the rehearsal you still get to enjoy the performances. This is a fantastic opportunity to see what goes on behind the scenes and find out just how much goes into putting on a show like this.

The Great Orchestra Experiment features the Robin Hood Youth Orchestra, and aims to cultivate a lifelong love for music in children and inspire them to continue with their music making.  Last year almost 1500 pupils from Nottingham primary schools took part, and played a range of pieces alongside a 100 piece orchestra made up of Music Service staff, local professional and semi-professional musicians and members of the Robin Hood Youth Orchestra.
